Due to congestion and the need for clear access to the Fire Station parking for horse boxes on Common Riding Day will continue to be at Thirlestane Castle.
Access will be via the main ‘Eagle Gates’ entrance on the B6362.
If coming from the north, turn left onto the A697 at Carfraemill roundabout, signposted for Coldstream, then continue for approx 5 miles before turning right onto the B6362 signed for Lauder.
Coming from the south, turn right from the A68 onto the B6362 just before Lauder, signposted for Coldstream.
Signs will be in place and stewards in attendance - please heed their guidance.
Horse boxes will not be allowed access to the centre of Lauder, and there will be no parking at the Burn Mill on the Galashiels road.
Parking for the Preliminary Rideout on the Thursday evening will be beyond the Fire Station on Whitlaw Road as in previous years.
